Sasie started working at Forte Family Lawyers in an administrative position in June 2022. Following his admission into legal practice in April 2023, Sasie joined the team of lawyers at Forte.

Prior to joining Forte, Sasie was a Legal Case Manager at a specialised community legal centre assisting clients suffering from complex mental health and substance abuse problems, on a pro bono basis. During this time, he also volunteered in a survivor advocacy program where he supported victims of sexual abuse and family violence with their applications to the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal.

In the final years of his tertiary studies, Sasie completed a clinical placement at the Monash Law Clinic’s Family Law Assistance Program where he assisted clients in a variety of matters including parenting, property and family violence intervention orders.

Drawing from his experience with sensitive family law matters, Sasie adopts a personable and compassionate approach with clients.

Sasie is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Asian Australian Lawyers’ Association and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.

Sasie speaks fluent Sinhalese.
