Emily Gendall is a Senior Associate at Forte Family Lawyers. Emily has 20 years of experience as a family lawyer in Australia and New Zealand. She has also worked as a Child Care lawyer in England.

Emily provides advice and representation in all areas of family law including parenting and property matters, financial support issues including child support and spousal maintenance and family violence.

Emily adopts a kind and caring approach as she assists and guides clients to navigate what is often a  difficult and stressful time in their lives. She aims to assist clients to settle all issues amicably, working collaboratively with her clients and other professionals. When necessary, Emily provides robust and tailored guidance and representation for clients through the court process.

Prior to commencing with Forte Family Law Emily worked in Melbourne for a specialist Family Law practice for 5 years. Before that she worked as a family lawyer in New Zealand in the family law teams of two mid-tier general practice firms.

Emily’s approach to practice is enhanced by the voluntary work she has undertaken including as a women’s refuge worker, restorative justice practitioner and legal advisor for the Women’s Legal Service in Melbourne.

Emily is a Member of the Law Institute of Victoria, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and Victorian Women Lawyers.
